Choose an M Hotel for your holidays in the Dianese Gulf! Stay in Diano Marina or San Bartolomeo al Mare, two of the most beautiful locations in the whole Liguria di Ponente area.

Diano Marina

Packed with nature and cultural locations, Diano Marina maintains a tourist tradition that dates back to the end of the 19th century. When, thanks to the numerous olive trees that grow in the territory, it became an important trading centre for olive oil. As the decades passed, the town slowly changed its appearance, becoming a deeply loved location visited by many Italian and foreign tourists year after year.

Thanks to the many places of interest in the town and its wonderful beaches, Diano Marina is the ideal place for a cultural trip or a relaxing summer holiday with the family on the beach.

If you wander through the old town, you can come across several craft shops, and characteristic bars with tables on the street where you can have a coffee. One of the most interesting places to see is definitely the Palazzo della Cultura, which regularly hosts exhibitions, concerts and cultural events.  Inside it is also possible to visit the MARM, a museum where historical and archaeological findings belonging to the territory are displayed.

Among the historic buildings worth a visit are the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate, the Oratory of Santissima Annunziata, and the Tower of sant’Erasmo.

Choosing a hotel in Diano Marina, also means choosing a seaside hotel.

More than three kilometers long and abundant with soft golden sand, the village beach is the ideal place to enjoy relaxing days in the sun or under a beach umbrella. As you enter its stunning crystal-clear sea, you can enjoy the shallow waters which are ideal for swimming.

For the more dynamic guests, it is also possible to rent diving and windsurfing equipment at the local beach facilities.

San Bartolomeo al Mare

Also in the Liguria di Ponente riviera, about 10 kilometers from Imperia, you will find San Bartolomeo al Mare, a delightful town also rich in nature, history and culture.

The old town of San Bartolomeo al Mare is characterised above all by its religious buildings, an important presence in this cultural town. Among the most interesting to visit is the Sanctuary of Madonna della Rovere, a facility surrounded by olive trees that dates back to the Byzantine era. Another building of great interest is the Parish Church of San Bartolomeo, built in the Middle Ages and damaged during the earthquake in 1887. And also the Church of Madonna della Neve, the Church of Santi Giacomo and Mauro, the Baroque Oratory of San Michele and the Oratory of sant’Anna. History and archeology lovers should not miss a visit to the Museo Civico della Communitas Diani, where ancient finding are on display, including a Roman ship that arrived from Spain and was shipwrecked in the Dianese Gulf.

San Bartolomeo al Mare is not just history and culture. Its mainly gravel beaches make this town a popular beach resort, with its crystal clear water and low seabed.

The seafront, with bars, sports facilities, souvenir shops and evening venues, is considered to be one of the most beautiful on the Liguria coastline.
